How do you handle unexpected weather conditions during an outdoor wedding?

As much as we all hope for perfect weather on your special day, Mother Nature can sometimes be unpredictable. To ensure your wedding runs smoothly regardless of the weather, I always recommend booking a venue that has a covering. Many public parks, such as Hampton Park or White Point Garden, offer gazebos that provide shelter from unexpected rain. For a beach wedding, locations like Folly Beach have pavilions that can serve as a great backup plan, allowing you to enjoy your day without worry.

In the event of severe weather, flexibility is key. I am always open to rescheduling your wedding, provided I am available on the new date you choose. This way, you can still have the outdoor wedding you envisioned without compromising on your plans. However, please note that refunds are not offered unless there is a mandatory evacuation due to a hurricane. By planning ahead and considering these options, we can ensure that your celebration goes off without a hitch, no matter what the weather brings.

All that being said, I have photographed many weddings on rainy days and recommend bringing clear umbrellas and embracing the natural elements! Rain can add a unique and romantic touch to your wedding photos, creating beautiful, memorable images that truly capture the essence of your day. So, let's make the most of whatever Mother Nature has in store and create stunning memories together.
